Exclamation Door Won't Latch - 2004 Aveo Hatch

      Hi,

This morning was definitely a cold one, around 28F in Detroit, Michigan. When I was leaving for work this morning, my doors were mostly frozen shut. I was able to get them all open EXCEPT the passenger door. My girlfriend crawled in to the inside, pushed the door, while I held the handle open from the outside. This eventually got the door open.

Unfortunately, now the door won't latch! When we attempted to shut it... all she had to do was give a little push from the inside, and it flapped open. It's as if it isn't latching when you push it shut.

Any advice as to how I should go about this?

      Thanks!

Spray some lock deicer followed by graphite lube into the latch. Wd40 would even be fine in the latch, just don't spray it into the lock itself
