Someone, from one of these boards reccomended I check this, since I was complaining of the same thing...

Take off the intake hose and using your finger, swab around the opening, being careful not to let it get caught on the throttle plate, it opens inward at the top and is spring loaded. If your finger has a blackish residue on it, clean your throttle plate opening. I used an older can of gumout that read 'safe for catalytic converters'. I also used an old tooth brush to get in there good. When I was done the intake was nice and clean, and the throttle plate opened smoothly and closed fully with no sticky spot.

      No more hesitation at 2k.

It's normal for a car to lose some power when driving with the A/C on especially with our small 4 cylinder engines.

Thanks Chevy Customer SVC for the reply,
I have contacted my region chevy service center, but the mechanic just hook up some kind of computer or detector, and they just said nothing wrong with the car. And they make me upset when they said the car with small cylinder usually will have this losing power problem. I asking them, how about the new aveo, isnt the car will have the same problem cause new aveo just 1,4 cc. The mechanic feel ashamed.
For information, I have changed the fuel filter, the spark, cleaned up throttle body, and still have the losing power drive with AC on when at low rpm under 2k.
      Sorry for my bad english.

You can do all the cleaning of throttle bodies, change spark plugs etc. but it will not help with your loss of power. Your mechanic said exactly what I've posted.....he's right and I've had many 4 cylinder's which all lost power with the A/C on. It's normal and that's why you consume more gas with the A/C on.

Is this power loss ONLY happening with the A/C on? Completely ok - no power loss at all with A/C off? If not, describe the difference.
And, is this something that only started recently, and has been getting worse as time goes on? Or has it always done this same thing for as long as you've owned it?
Is this an Aveo? What year and mileage on the vehicle? Are you the original owner, and what other maintenance/repairs have been made, beyond what you already mentioned?
