2010 Aveo5 Getting P2127 Code Not Accelerating Properly

P2127 Code is described as: TPS/PEDAL POSITION SENSOR/ SWITCH E CIRCUIT LOW INPUT

When you push down the accelerator the car will SLOWLY begin to get power and only really start to pull around 3500 rpm, in third gear the fastest you can really get going is ~50 km/h (30 mph) I've read lots that replacing the Throttle Body is a cure for that.

Wondering if anyone else has got this code and/or conditions?

You might need to replace your sensor:

I don't have my manual with me and I don't know how to check a three wire device.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

is that the only code? usually with that code you should send up with a limp mode codes, and the throttle body code.

IF that is the only code. I would think it is the pedal and not the throttle body. But you should have 3-4 codes if either goes bad.

I had read on other threads on older models that the TPS wasn't really serviceable and that you just had to replace the whole throttle body, but it would be nice if on the 2010 you can just do the sensor.

Yep, only the one code showing up.

I would check the signal wire at the pedal for proper output, and then follow to the ground to see if the ground or physical ground location are corroded causing issues. Also check the sensor for corrosion. If that is the only code, and you are not getting any other codes, then you don't have enough power leaving the pedal to open the throttle any further than it goes now.

I'll give this a go later tonight when I get home.
