code po599 2010 aver 5

2010, 59,000 miles. just got code po599 from autozone tool. they say it is a thermostat heater control circuit and they don't show a part for it. is this serious or just another gaget that's not that important? thanks and how do i clear the code?

They can clear it at Autozone. My rule of thumb is clear it and see if it comes back. If it comes back check out your coolant temperature sensor first. Someone else might have something else so chime on in everyone.

code keeps comming back. anybody know the scocket size for the four bolts holding the thermo. housing on? 2010 model aveo5. they look like six or eight point.

12 or 13 mm just changed mine the other day

thank you. my code will come on and then off for a while and come on again. just bought the housing with sensor and will install soon. my guy says there is not a very good way of draining the radiator. so i will get a large plastic bucket. housing was 65.00 (ac delco).
