      E-tec II Underdrive Crankshaft Pulley (2004 - 2008)

A new batch has been made, SEE HERE

      • Direct swap: The E-tec II underdrive crankshaft pulley is a direct replacement for your stock crankshaft pulley.

      • Lightweight: Substantial weight reduction from the stock pulley which reduces rotational inertia - 5.5 lbs OEM vs. 1.2 lbs

      • Reduced accessory drag: 15% smaller in diameter than stock. This turns your accessories slower which frees up some horsepower.

      • This part fits the 1.6L E-tec II engine in 2004 - 2008 Aveos.

Sorry, as far as I know there is not an underdrive pulley being made for the 09 engine.

How about a Doax Fabrication sponsorship discount for those of us who would compete with it? :P

Hell Yeah!!! I have been reading about these things in the forums... looks pretty cool, and not terribly expensive... Does it come with install instructions? Or izzit the kind of thing you should have a lot of car experience before installing? I am VERY interested!!! ;D

Ok, ok... engine part. Sounds like something I'd have to get a qualified mechanic to install... I think I can do a CAI, but not engine work... I still want one!

I have a quick question and please correct me if I am wrong but isn't the stock pulley also the harmonic dampener? If so won't this throw the engine out of balance when you use the undersized pulley? I know that most engines have a pulley mounted to the dampener so I am a little hesitant to order this pulley.

I have a question about this pulley. If I am not mistaken the stock pulley is also the harmonic dampener. If that is the case then using the undersized pulley will throw the engines balance off and cause crankshaft bearing wear. Please correct me if I am wrong but I know most engines use a pulley attached to the dampener, but our engines do not they are one in the same.
