Yeah, I agree. We need more cheap, public track days. Joining a local car club is another good way to get involved in organized track events. The Benz club here is good about organizing a couple of track days a year at the local road course (http://www.hallettracing.net) and we have open drags at the local drag strip every Friday night.

As some of you know I am a firefighter and just last summer we had quite the motorcyclist fatality...he hit a parked full size pick up at about 50mph...he dumped the bike in an effort to miss the truck...sadly HE, not the bike, hit the rear bumper and bent it up so far that his helmet, which wasn't empty, was wedged between the rear tire and the fender...the remainer was stuffed under the bumper and fender and actually lifted, abd was still holding the rear of the truck just off the suspension with the tire touching the road, he pushed the truck 20 feet...not a pretty site...

      WOW. THAT'S AWFUL.

I usually don't ride for a day after something like that happens. Well, except when we lost Ace. I did ride that day....But its become more like a respect thing not to ride.

go on daewootech and read mhammadous story about how he hit a person crossin the street.

anyways, that is a really horrible accident. it goes to show that some people really dont learn til its too late. I myself like to drive a lil wreckless (speed) but i may think twice about it now lol. we definitely need to keep the speed on the track.
You can not commit crimes in a Aveo. Its just not fast enough.

Its just like driving a car, you just have to be more responsible becuase you KNOW how vulnerable you are.
