i bought new light bulbs

sylvania bulbs are good. If you want the best possible light output, look for a color temp close to 4300K. The ricey blue and purple bulbs light up less of the road.

im thinking bout just going with hid and risk getting pulled over.

i often wonder how many policemen spend their days saying "hey, lets pull over that guy. he looks like he upgraded his headlights" maybe i'm wrong, but if i see a newer car i dont give a second thought to its headlights. i notice the entire vehicle.

ive run hids in my halogen bowls for almost a year with no problems. one night i got pulled over going from chicago to milwaukee by the WI state patrol (lovely bunch of folk they are). i was doing the speed limit when i passed by him as he was parked by the side of the road so i really had no idea why he pulled me over at the time. long story short he pulled me over for "amplified exhaust." I truly think he was more bored than anything because we started talkin and jokin about the cubs and the tornados that had passed thru chicago earlier that night. anyways, before we started bs'in he proceded to check over my entire car, askin me to pump the brakes, turn on my signals, and then he wanted me to turn on my headlights. after he looked at them for a minute he came back to the passengers side and proceded to ask me about my various in car gizmos like my guages and my neo and auto xray. point is, most cops cant really tell the difference so much or have the tools to even try and check ur headlights. unless they truly know what they are lookin for, they wont be able to prove you are running hids.

*i understand im an asshole for runnin hids, hence why i aimed the bowls downward some and have the lids goin a bit steeper thru the lens. i try to cut down the glare for everyone. i think it works as i dont get flashed anymore.*

oh yeh, he let me off with a warning. he was the coolest state trooper i have ever run into. and i have had my fair share of dealings with them.

chevoo, you havent driven with me then. ciz down where i travel: waukegan, zion>IL and pleasant prairie, kenosha>WI the cops are more than bored and have more than enough time to just flash me to the side of the street. i was pulled over 6 times since i got my veo. and only 1 of those times time was it actually needed.

point being, eh, **** it! let me buy HID. can someone help me out? i kinds dont want to buy BULL**** and have them explode or die after a rain storm.

i'm just amazed that there is a possibilty of getting pulled over because we want to "improve" our night vision. seems more like a safety upgrade. here in ny they like to focus on tinted windows.
