Looking for Aveo information in Thailand

Hi all,

Just looking for feedback from anyone that can help.

I'm trying to establish some contacts in the Bangkok area for the following:

1. Good vehicle technician with Aveo experience - I'm not too impressed with my local Chevrolet dealer who I am currently using for servicing etc.

2. Recommendations for a good Modification & Body Shop.

3. Aveo LPG conversion specialists

Lastly, my Aveo was parked in the local supermarket last night and when I returned, somebody had managed to scrape the rear of my vehicle and in the process, ripped the VGiS lettering off.
So does anyone know of a good place around that sells replacement Emblems in the area?

Hi there, I'm living in Samut Prakarn - I can't help with no.2 but for no.1 I'd suggest just trying another dealership. I've had my Aveo serviced at the dealership on Theperak (where I bought my car) and on Srinakarin - there was quite a difference in terms of service, helpfulness and time. For no.3, I was interested in LPG also, I PM'd another board member 'Phenomenon' who recommended a garage near Seacon, he also might know more garages that could help you.
Sorry to hear about your scrape, that sucks, near to Bang Na, you've got Imperial Sam Rong mall with quite good car-parts shops on the third floor - you could try there but they mainly sell the standard Honda, Toyota etc ones. I can't see any on ebay, I reckon you'd have to go to Chevy to get replacement lettering.

Thank you for your advice once again.
It was actually Srinakarin I had a problem with, but maybe I just had bad luck with the mechanic...I've used the Theparak branch this time round - they seemed a tad more professional...

Phenonmenon sent me the telephone number of an independent guy, who apparently is great with Chevs.
I will use him next time round.

Onto LPG, yep, I think I have the same contact as you, so I will be taking things further in the future - still waiting to see if there are going to be any major changes with fuel prices here - I keep hearing lots of speculation from the oil guys I know that work here, but it is just speculation.

I'll give Imperial a try this weekend - the only thing that puts me off going there is the traffic, now they're preparing to commence work on the BTS extension again...
