Does the removal of the resonator take away from the "low end" power? And if so is it noticeable at all?

It should do anything to the low end. I did this mod to make room for a CAI. It's my understanding that RAM air helps on the lower end and CAI on the higher. I recommend spending the $40 for a CAI if you're thinning about this mod.

thats it! im converting to a CAI to see if there is an actual difference. plus after doin too much driving on the freeway, i now realize that high end power is really what the car needs.

If you got your filter on you wont pick up much, if any. Or you can be like me and have both a CAI and a WAI and just switch them out

well when i last checked my filter 2 weeks ago i noticed some little rust spots on the fliter where the ram air connects to the filter. which means moisture. i dont know how cus i havent seen any all spring/summer until recently. so if its rain water getting sucked up (oh and mind you we did have some bad storms with flash flooding which i was fortunate to drive in some of them), thats something i dont need. so i think my next safest bet would be a cai. or just disconnect the ram air and leave it at a sri but i feel like messin around with it. or maybe ill go back to the raised hood idea. shoot now im confused lol.

nope, just have the AEM CAI installed, not going to switch it out unless I have issues with it.

the only point of the resonator is to block that deep tone under acceleration, hence the name resonator. get a CAI
