      Wheels and lowering kit.

I'm looking at some 17 inch wheels and tires. The tire shop says they will fit without rubbing. My questions is if I can do that and put the hr lowering spring on without having any rubbing issues? I have been researching it but haven't really got a definitely answer. Anyone have any pics or answers for me. Its an 07 Aveo sedan.

I was also wondering what is the best offset for 17's. The wheels im looking at have a 40 offset.

off set has more to do with width than height, actually, offset has nothing to do with height.

40mm on a 7" rim (most aftermarket rims are 7" wide) should fit the aveo just fine, as long as the spokes do not hit the caliper which is about rim style and design, and has "little" to do with offset. A 35-38 mm will fill the wheel wells more.

The 17" rim will fit fine as long as the tire is near the same outside diameter as the 14 originally there.

Lowering the car will be fine too with a conservative drop like the springs you chose.

The wheels im looking at have a 5.62" back spacing and a 42 offset. I would just throw them on to see how they fit but they are on tirerack.com and you just cant do that. These are them.
