I can't resist, your own body weight is enough to get the car hung on an intersection?
You should have got some speed up to "lift" the car over the hump......of course the "landing" might be a bit rough.

Thanks for the info the rear disc brake set. I am excited to see the results. Now my personal life is going to start settling down again (or ramp up) as I just moved into my house. Now I can change the oil, put on the coilover kit, and mount my spoiler. It's nice to have my crap in one spot again....

Dude I've had a Golf with <3" of clearance and did fine. But I had a truck for winter too.

Rabbit, LMAO, and That's is one of my concerns.

YnotVW, This is my only car so I can't afford to get crazy with it and screw something up. The main reason I want to switch to coilovers is for increased safety on the road. It will handle better than the OEM setup that can get creepy at anything over 90MPH.

I will think of a better signature later.

Hell with the cross-wind at that speed in Iowa I would just be afraid the car will go flying. The car does get creepy at speed. Driving down to Iowa City with a cross wind, I would have to slow down to 65 just to keep the car straight.

My car is very stable at 90-100+, the strut bars made a big difference along with the 15" rims, the spoiler helps too. Lowering the car would make a huge difference as well, too bad I never got around to it

This is one of the intersections, it had a "different" cement crosswalk, and it was a slight grade.. now keep in mind normally this is a 35mph street otherwise.. and i know the picture is more level to the car put its like 1-2* uphill.. car was idling in first gear when i took this.. traffic was backing up.. it was sitting on both pinch welds..

Yeah, no thanks. lol. I bet tire shops hate seeing you pull in to. We had a couple cars when I did tires that we could barely get onto the drive up lift, and swing arm style lift was impossible due to side skirts. Silly Ricers.

i can NOT go to tire shops, i have been turned away by firestone, ntb, sears, etc. I can go through drive through cars washes, or quick oil change places because of the lips n the floor. And it took me 3 months to find a place with a drive on rack for an alignment; oddly enough it WAS the dealer i bought it at and only came across it because of a free oil change. But i was not impressed with the techs work for the price. Strings and plumb bobs for now on..

now let get back on topic :P
