      Cobalt rims, and Suspention Questions.

Hey everyone! I've been looking lately into getting some bigger rims on my 09 Pontiac G3, but I want to keep the OEM look so it doesn't look ricey. I found that these: Chevrolet Cobalt, Pontiac Pursuit | Alloy Car Wheels | 5214MS | Car Wheels rims are an inch bigger, but I don't know if that 1 inch difference would really be noticable/worth it and I'd like your guys' opinions..

I've also been throwing around the ideas of a stiffer suspension/lowering via springs, but since my car is a 09' there are slim to none pickings on options.. What are some things that you guys would recommend?

Thanks so much for any and all feedback!

all the aveo suspensions are the same. some any year springs will work for your car.

15 inch wheels will be fine, if it is the look you are going for. i only have 15s on mine..

those cobalt rims are pretty basic, and i hope you are not buying from that site. its a lot of money, ebay for take offs would be much cheaper imho. but the basic 5 spoke could be had aftermarket easy enough and still look good, plus you could (if you wanted) step up to a 16 in the same style rim, not ricey, still the same look but bigger.

I just used that site as an example for the rim, I'd ebay/clist them for sure(refuse to pay that much for refurbished!). I'm only looking at those because they're 16's contrary to my current 15's, a little more meat never hurts, and they'll look nice with the machined face while looking straight from the factory(with pontiac centercaps).

As for the suspension though, if you had to choose the best "bang for the buck" spring, which would you go for?

i had h&r originally, but eibach is good too. really if you buy a brand that you have heard of, i think you will be happy. its mostly the 'no name' not available for aveo anyhow springs that will give you a bad ride.

ive had the eibachs on my 04 aveo for almost a year and a half now and have had no problems with the suspension, I also have KYBs front and back in addition to the eibach, I love the way it handle, or atleast the way it used to handle before it broke down LOL

As long as you get some nice aftermarket springs on that beetch, you will be much happier, and they are usually around 200$ or they used to be. It wont break the bank and the how-to on here makes it completely doable for the average layman.

And like the dude above me, make sure you get the KYBs. Its rumored that you will go thru the stockers fairly quick if you dont.
