      08 Aveo LT - Upgrade to 15s

So my wife needs new tires for her 2008 Avao LT and while looking around everyone assumes that it rides on 185 55R15. Its odd because the tires that are on there now are 185 60R14 and the sticker on the door says the same.

Either way we would prefer the 15s so thinking of upping the rims and the tires. Just making sure with you geniuses that these will fit and wanting to know what rims should i get to work with these.

      thank you!

My 2010 has 14's, which come with the same 185 60R14s. The 15" wheels and tires were optional, so they'll fit perfectly if you want to upsize. You can put togethor an inexpensive set on Discounttiredirect.com and ship to a border town if you're anywhere near the border.

The bolt patter in 4x100, which is very common, and you'll also need hubcentric rings and proper lug nuts to fit the new wheels. Both are readily available, no matter where you order from, or buy locally.

Being that you're new to the site, and you have a 2004 to 2008, first off "welcome", second make sure you're changing that timing belt/water pump/pulley.

GM specified a weird tire size for the 15" rim, expensive and not many options. 195 50 and 195 55 tires will fit fine if you cant find the 185 55s

Thanks for the welcome and thanks for the tip. I replaced her alternator last year with lots of help from this site and at the same time i did the timing belt.

Got the tires put on today, since i'm less that an hour away from the border i did check prices but they seemed negligible if you take into consideration time and gas to drive over there.

Will be looking into the water pump/pully shorly.
