Aveo 5d, hb 2011 steering wheel

Hi there, i was wondering if it's possible to install the steering wheel from the new aveo or chevy cruze,
to the older aveo, would it work with the airbag? no need for the radio remote etc.

I believe it could be possible, as long as the connections are similar and the new steering wheel fits in place. I wouldn't recommend it, because of the airbags, but you could give it a try.

You have sparked my curiosity. If you would, could you post any progress pics or completed pics? I think it would be awesome with a newer steering wheel.

I would want to keep the radio remote and upgrade my radio. I would also try and find a way to move my cruise control to use the new control.

But that's just me.

it could probably be done as long as the spline is the same, IF it is not the same, you could cut the collars off and switch them to the newer wheel, but you would need to be "comfortable" with the wiring.
