      Audio Question

In a different problem I have now with my system, I ended up obtaining the harness with the RCA's for my aftermarket radio so I do not have to use a LOC anymore thankfully, after hooking that up, I still can not get anything to work, fuses are good, I am not sure where to begin. Is there a way I can check to see if my amp has power or is on? I can not figure it out, I hooked it up the same way I did my last two systems and still can not get anything to work.

There could be many problems with your wiring, a few common mistakes are...
      1. Did you run a remote turn on wire to your amp, from your radio?
(assuming you did)2. Is there an option on your radio to turn on your amp? Some radios have the option whether or not the remote turn on wire receives power.
      3. Are your power/grounds good? Use a volt meter, if the positive and negative terminals complete a 12 volt circuit, then they are fine and the problem lies within 1/2.

Hopefully one of these fixes you up, rock on!

Okay, do not laugh at me on this one. After buying new fuses and such, I used my little circuit tester to check everything, and it turned out the positive wire was acting like a ground. I then remembered that I wired the positive wire to the negative side on the battery. I facepalmed, then switched it out. Works like a charm, I am sorry for making such a mistake, I know someone will get an LOL out of this . Thanks a lot for your help.

hahahaha, good one. if it makes you feel better, last time I had my system apart I went ahead flip flopped the power and ground wires in the amp. Good thing I had a 230 amp fuse to let me know I had a short...
