      2009 Door panel removal

I have an 09 Aveo5 Hatch, and i m going to be putting in keyless entry. I have manual everything at the moment. including manual windows. I need to know how to get the window cranks off right without breaking them, and how to remove the open door handle. those are the only two things left holding the panel on as far as i can tell. any suggestions or advice?

you need a window crank removal fork for the window crank.. its like a $2-8 tool. you push in the panel slightly, and then slide in under the handle to pop the clip..

the handle i believe has a screw in it.. but i would have to double check.

I confirm Rabbit's post. There is a screw on the interior handle. I had my mechanical lock go bad and I had to get into it. There is a really annoying plastic to cover the mechanical. Take your time with peeling it back. What there is a tool for such things? I spent an half hour using a screw driver and needle nose pliers getting it on and off.
Please do not power off, firmware update pending.....

you probably use a hook tool to get under it.. not common mechanics tool, but most body men have a few utensils they use for interior trim/plastic clips/etc.

there is a "plate" between the door panel and clip most of the time. push in slightly on the door panel with you shoulder, and then use your hand to slide back the like plastic plate, and you should see a gold or silver horseshoe shaped clip either pointing toward the crank handle knob or away from it.
