I thought about getting a sunroof on the aveo, any experiences with these aftermarket sunroofs?

From what I've read, the manual ones are very easy to install.

get a very good one, cheaper ones tend to dry rot on the seals and leak. with the florida sun i would give it 2-3 years..

the better ones last longer and get one that comes out (if thats still even an upgrade)..

i was thinking of putting a full length ragtop on mine, but with the 3' of snow we got last winter, thats enough weight to collapse the roof..

That idea has crossed my mind, but I was worried about the loss of structural integrity by cutting the roof.

      Will eventually got sunroof.

Got to put some money in the Jeep next.

the way i see it, all the structural welds stay in place with the rag top except the center cross bar. you dont remove the whole roof skin so the pillars and inner structure would all still be there. If i was going to do it, i would remover the headliner and gusset the corners, as well as build pieces to bolt to the ragtop frame to tie it all together. would be at least as strong in a roll over for the pillars, other than the facter your only have canvas between you and the road instead of sheet metal..
