ther used to be some that aveoxtreme sold that were kind of costly but i think those are the only "performance" ones made, if your looking for a OEM replacement i would say go with AC Delco

I think the OEMs are a pretty good wire.

I would stick with oem, but if you really want aftermarket performance wires 2.0 16v vw wires would probably work.. lots of options there.

Found them all to be .035 gap. I replaced the wires with some good 7mm wires from auto parts store.

If your problems persist. I would recommend getting rid of the platinum plugs.

      Re: wires

I got the NGK iridiums that are recommended for our cars and had them verify the preset gap (that can't be changed) to be within the specs for our cars, and they are... coupled those with some NGK wires (had to hunt down the last set NAPA had 'cause NGK quit making them for whatever reason....

      Re: wires

I was told to stick with NKG's for the plugs for this car for sure... I just thought for a whopping 28 cents a plug I would go with the platinums.. No issues at all. I did run the original plugs to 60k.I thought it came with the 100k mi platinums ...nope car was acting a little slugish at acceleration from dead stop. They were definately well used plugs! Doubled my mi on them...oops.
