      torn cv boot

      ive got an outer cv boot thats torn ive got the part to fix it. The problem is ive watched the vids on youtube and they say you can stretch them over the end this boot is not going to stretch so the problem is can i replace it without disasebleing it or taking it out of the car any help would be much apreciated

      It is going to have to come out of the car to do anything with it. Most people just replace the whole axle as it is easier and quicker to do.

      id agree but thats not an option as they wont ship the part to me because it has grease in it and im in germany

      HERE IN THE STATES THEY have universal CV boots one side is open when putting them on with clamps they seal so no grease comes out. Not sure when was the last time I did see them mmmm

      look im not trying to be rude but im well aware what they have in the states and im even more understanding of what i can and cant get shipped here. yes i can get a universal boot but you have to break the axle apart to install there isnt a thread on breaking apart a cv axle so here i am asking for guidance from people with more experience than me with these cars.

      no the point is the cv boot comes with an opening down one side you open it to slide it over the cv joint it snaps together down the seam then you clamp it on. I'll try to find a pick. think of a hot dog dun the hot dog being the cv joint.

      Then you'll have to remove it from the car, and take it apart.
