      short throw shifter

      Brian5475E:
      "Here ya go!
      http://www.v-tuning.com/quickshifts.htm

****UPDATE*** The Astra E has the same linkage as our car. So it would be $87 USD plus shipping for the linkage"

      *edit out useless posts*

      nemasys:
"Im interested on one of these Ill see if i can get my hands on one when spring comes... Is this thing hard to install? "

      exodus:
"It appears to be a replacement selector that would mount on the transmission itself. The short throw shifter on my jetta is much the same and it took 5 minutes to install. "

      exodus:
"Just heard back from v-tuning. Shipping to 23225 for the astra E shifter is GBP18.

Total would be approximately USD120 (GBP68... nice guess komail!)

They accept paypal and bank transfers for payment. info@v-tuning.com

Once I have my intake and rotors on, I should be placing an order for this. I'll write up a how-to once I have it on. "

....now I will just sum the rest up...exodus wanted to start a group buy. not enough people stepped up to the plate to buy one and it pretty much went under the radar from there and noone to my knowledge bought one.....

I am interested in getting a short throw shifter, just that I don't have the funds for it. Also, wouldn't the shifter be too low? You sit pretty high in these cars and my long legs don't permit me to bring the seat too close to the wheel.

This is an replacement for the part of the linkage. The shifter shaft itself won't be changed at all. The movement required to engage each gear will be shortened, though.
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall. Torque is how far the wall moves after you hit it.
