Is it physically shorter (height from floor) than the OE shifter?

I've never liked short throw shifters that require me to move my hand further from the wheel when operating. There have been vehicles that I put shorter shifters in, though, because I don't like physically leaning to reach 5th/Rev.

no it is a "new" pieces of linkage installed in the engine compartment. not a shortened shaft, does not affect the reverse lock out.

new in quotes because it is a modified used stock piece. But also not a wearable portion of the linkage.

edit: i think i actually had it in the diy section here? maybe drivetrain.. if not, its been transferred to aveonetwork.

it does not shorten the shifter lever, it shortens the throw of the lever.

I have not made on in a while, I can across a spare recently and was thinking about making a new one.
