      Can you ww or pm the mount while it is mounted?

      I see what separates a compression mount from a tension- that does look like the compression type- since it is a solid plunger- the hardener mix would be a direct, simple ( hee-hee- uber low tech! ) way of limiting the movement.

      i think it would be too sloppy doing it in the car. but if you use a tube of ww, it could be done. the poly is liquid, so it would all just run out you have to tape one end and much it a cup and fill it..

      i consider it a compression mount as well, but the want to be sure before attempting and modification. ALTHOUGH filling it will work in both instances.

      Agreed. Thinking out loud- figuring if it's a compression vs tension type would also fix which hardening agent is best for the job as some compounds would be better/stronger in a compressive mode vs some would be best when in a tensile load- if that compound also could be applied with the mount still attached- even better. Now it's research time on that mount type....

      just go start your car and have someone give it gas. i would have known by now but dont have someone that would give it gas without running me over.. which ever way the engine rocks is the type of mount.

      Ok, won't annoy the wife between tonight and the morning when I have her be the gassing jockey- that way she won't be tempted....
