      Nitrous Install

Hey all, getting a killer deal on a 50 shot dry Nitrous system from a buddy, so I figured it would be really interesting to have it in the Rally CHEVOO. Going to check it out on Sunday and see what all this will entail, and I'll be sure to take plenty of pics. First off, I have a professional mechanic( my friend supplying the system) doing the work, so that I know it's done right, and I know that I'll have to pull a few degrees of timing out of my tune to compensate for the new burn rate. I'd just like to know if anyone has attempted something similar, or at least upgraded their fueling system. Not sure what I'll need fuel pump/ injector wise or anything else. Thanks for checking this out, hopefully I'll have great news soon!

I dont usually use nitrous myself, but i think a dry kit is just activated at WOT, or by a button. I don't know too many people who actually tune for it, even though you are supposed to.

I'm getting the kit for basically free, so I'm going with what I'm given, besides, dry will be safer without changing most of my fuel system. I'm going to try to set it up to kick in from 3750-5750 RPM, where most of the torque is dropped for me. The only reason I'm tuning for it is because I'm already tuned, and my timing is too far advanced to add the nitrous. So I retard the timing ever so slightly and voila! Hopefully it all works, without to much of a hitch. We'll see!

As long as you promise me you will upgrade to a wet shot I will allow it. J/k man. Whatever you can do to squeeze the most out of these n/a engines is fine by me!

PS does trifecta tuning still do aveo ECUs? know how much they charge? I want my timing advanced and to run 93 octane, that stuff is more common around here than 91 (which is apparently the opposite of everywhere else lol)

I'm sure Vince would be happy to tune your Aveo, I can't recall exactly how much it was, since I got mine at a discount being the first, and so far only, tuned Aveo. My 93 Tune+ intake, exhaust and what not made this car simply amazing. Wish their were more parts available, if I actually get 50hp out of the kit though, I'll be pushing 170-180 crank hp while the nitrous is kicking in. I think I'll be happy with that for awhile haha

If it's easier, PM me your Facebook, if you have one, and I can add you and send you a link for his Facebook, or the Trifecta Cruze/ Sonic page.

Welp, per the usual, something came up so this will be set back a few days, but hopefully not long, on the upside might get a chance to auto-x the CHEVOO today. So hopefully that might at least happen.
