      need power!

Like everyone else I want more power! I have a 2011 5 with the 1.6. What's the best modifications to do? Will parts from the ecotec 2.2 fit? Was wondering if I pull exhaust and intake parts then maybe do bigger injectors with a trifecta tune

like everything mate...... make the motor breath easier
Exhaust headers replaced, high flow cat converter (easy way is to buy a standard cat for a 4 litre),
      2inch mandrel bent exhaust

Intake remove the front bumper and turf the lower intake box and run some rubber pipe from the front bumper to the bottom of the upper airbox, replace air filter with KN reusable filter..... I haven't "opened" my engine yet (please note yet lol) or replaced injectors but that is on the list

.I have a whole list of things I'm in the process of modifying my engine and one thing I learned is research is everything. What goals do you have in mind as far as power goes . that will decide what upgrades to do. Now on the injectors unless your planning on running boost or spray the stock should be fine just my. 02

I don't know if I'll keep the car long enough to turbo it. But if I take it to the track this year I think I might bottle feed it. Not sure how big of a shot would be safe. I heard a 75 shot should be max

75 May require fuel pump upgrade and tune to work without grenading your engine

DO NOT SPRAY A 50 SHOT. A member on the sonic forum blew his 1.8( which is our motor with a slightly larger bore and stroke) Open her up to breathe better as previously stated or swap in a cruze/sonic/astra 1.8 block or complete engine. Don't quote me but the 12 and back 1.8s share our harness n ECU , and then I believe there was an ECU update somewhere in late 12 early 13. The only shot of go go gas I would spray would be 15-25 until you build the block with forged internals. u could find the pistons n rods from earlier opels n Vauxhalls. If u want a project go turbo - no one Ive ever met has regretted it. I m waiting to source some boneyard parts myself as I would need extra cash on hand in case of an unforeseen disaster- its my daily

nitrous requires as much tuning as any other mod.

Tuning isn't the problem. I just won't have enough cash to put a whole turbo system together. I was going to do bolt on mods and trifecta tune but my car guy said it wouldn't be worth it.. there won't be much gain

$600 and a day or two of work, you could have 140 hp..

then a trifecta tune on top of that you would net like 150ish?

include a cai, exhaust, eliminate the power steering, find a lightweight pulley, etc you would be creeping into the 160s i bet.

      total spent, maybe $1000-1100.
