You may find it cheaper in the long run to buy a crate model instead of having a wrecker model taken apart and done up.




I will say this to help you... fit it into your budget to have a cooler put into the trans system. Use the fill bolt as the return and pull the feed from the bottom of the pan (drill - tap - screw in fitting). You'll see increased life this way for a fairly cheap mod (shouldn't be more than $150 for a pump, cooler, and lines). If you throw the LSD in there with it you'll see reduced wear on it and better traction feel as well.

I'd look on car-parts.com for the tranny from a forenza/reno.

There have been 4 in my state with under 10k miles for $600 in the last 8months, one of which has only 1k miles. Also we dont have many forenza/renos in my part of AZ for some odd reason.

They're expensive, but definitely a MUST HAVE if you plan on any serious racing.

The LSD is ~$1,300, kinda of expensive, but it is a Quaife ATB so you can't go wrong.

The clutch kits are ~$350-~$650 shipped for up to 200bhp-up to 700bhp w/ lightweight flywheel
