I keep bringing this up but I need to know..

My question is again about mufflers. I have my eyes on a Thrush Turbo Muffler Model 17713 or 17714, its just a 2.25 inlet in and out. I just want to get rid of the old muffler and put it in place of it. And then run some pipe from the new muffler to the back of the car and put a tip on it.. NOW the actually question... Will this type of setup be excessively loud or just a deep rumble? Obviously hard to tell without it being done but any thoughts? Thanks!

I would guess it's a little buzzy. Tough to find a deep rumble from a 4 banger. You might find a similar setup on youtube or an exhaust clips site.

It's all in the ear of the beholder with exhausts. What sounds good to one person, sounds terrible to another.

with no resonator , the factory cat, and the thrush at the end of the system ( stock location) the turbo muffler sounded great. When I put the header on it turned raspy

if your running it that open with not plans for a turbo set up or something big, then you really only need a 2.0" exhaust.

Well, the stock pipe is 2" so im do 2.25" which isnt much bigger at all and it will be enough to slide on the stock pipe for the guy to weld it and them some pipe onto the end of it and then a muffler tip, simple, and might make some noise lol
