hoax mabye?

i found this a about about a year after i bought my car, just happened to save the site into my favorites.

something just seems fishy about this, i mean i know hypertech chips normally run about that much a piece brand new, well at least for trucks they do.

this chip is supposed to let you control:

-Shift Point/Firmness
-RevLimit
-TopSpeed
-Tire/Gear
-Cooling Fan Are Adjustable

opinions on this besides mine?

I'm not sure what truck you are driving, but I didn't even pat half that much for my hypertech chip in my truck.

I wouldn't pay more then 300 bucks for a chip for the aveo, then remember you'll have to change your thermostat and only burn premium gas.

if they would at least have their grammar typed correctly, then maybe i wouldnt think it was a hoax.....this must be a universal kit.....or the infamous "resistor on the IAT sensor 'chip'"

haha it says its for the aveo??? just because they say its for it doesnt mean its the truth....a few things tho...ive heard that the chips that alter the auto trans shifting points arent really that good for the transmission, more stress which equals broken....next, why the heck would you want to raise your rev limit unless you done some serious work to your car, hell our car stops making power 5500rpms which is below our stock rev limit anyway...tire/gear??? dont quite get this part, appearantly you can change your gear ratio on the fly lol.....lastly, why do you have to change to premium gas. Its been said a billion times on here, why would you run premium gas, it gains you nothing and could possible hurt your engine. The only reason would be if this chip advanced your timing to try to gain power but it most likely doesnt...high octane fuel is for FI or high compression...it does not add power, but only has additives to help prevent detenation...
In conclusion, this is nothing but a fake chip that preys on the feeble ricers who don't know better. hell you could buy a good emanage system for that money or some other piggyback that could actually help tune your car.

This is a programmer. Probably hooks up to the obd2 port. They are normally heug moneys (like this one).

If this is the real deal, it could be useful... but without proper programs... it's useless.

the last part of your statement Sam, when I put the chip in my truck, I could ONLY run the high octane to prevent detonation. Any other grade and I could hear it knocking.
