      Biodiesel

      So...

Is there any vehicle platform which would provide a fairly easy swap, to drop a diesel engine in a 2008ish Aveo?
I am trying to distinguish if there would ultimately be a way to convert an Aveo to biodiesel.

      Thank you
      Jason

As long as you don't have to pass emissions you could at least.

in most places, diesel does not have an emissions test, even when it is a swap, but check your local laws.. you might have paperwork etc to do to get the proof of exemption.

you could ship almost any vauxhall or opel diesel engine with the gm family 1 "format" over, you would need the whole swap.

or swap in a vw tdi, and do some custom work to make it fit.

I don't get emissioned in the county I live in.

I hoped Rabbit would chime in here. I was wandering if there are any turbo diesel VW platforms that would not be a difficult fit.
I don't have the knowledge (at this point) or tools to do a swap. If my Aveo doesn't get totaled (alot of close calls lately), I am trying to determine what I want to do with my Aveo when eventually the motor needs to be replaced.

I might run up to Canada to a guy on Daewootech who did a transplant for a 2.0 turbo Lemans engine in the Aveo.

In the mean time, I am working on finding out what equipment and space would be needed to refine biodiesel (and moonshine).
