That's an old dream I have... replacing my 1.4 SOHC engine by a 1.6 DOHC engine...

Well... the real dream would be to swap to a 1.4 Turbo engine from a Opel Mokka/Buick Encore, which produces 138 hp, but is a bit expensive right now.

Perhaps you can find a used GM Daewoo AVEO built to U.S. specs that has been exported to Europe/Spain. If so, look for a Generation2 (2009-2011) with (5) spd manual. You can drive the 1.6 DOHC as you upgrade. Good luck!

Nah... There are 1.6 DOHC Aveos here, but mine is one of the early ones, and got the old SOHC 8v engine.

Having the money to bring an Aveo from the US, I should probably buy a 8th gen Civic Fastback here in Spain, or even a Chevrolet Lacetti CDX.
