Where did you have the new key cut? In my personal experience with having these keys copied, the key machine has to be adjusted very precisely or the key that is produced won't turn in the cylinder. Go to a good locksmith who can make a key accurately. It's worth the premium you will pay him for making a good key that will work.

Well Thymeclock, I did as you suggested (locksmith not dealer ship) that's two keys now, still no go. So now I'm suspecting the ignition cylinder is toast.

Well, I ended up drilling out my Ignition Lock Cylinder. Will be ordering a new one tomorrow.

How will you start your car in the meanwhile?

you don't drill it out, it press a sprung clip on the back side. I just did this as one of my students broke my ignition.

but is sounds like your already done.

I'm fortunate, I have a secondary vehicle that I can use.

Hi Petrified, maybe you know something I don't lol, but in order to push the lock on the back side you have to be able to turn the key to ACC first otherwise you won't be able to push the lock pin in to get the cylinder out. That was the problem I had, I could turn my key anymore.
Yes, I already got it done. New Ignition Lock Cylinder should be in tomorrow (Tuesday). Then after work, recode the new ignition cylinder so I'm not carrying two different keys (ignition key plus door key).
