Stock Aveo with Factory Tires handled better than I expected.
Don't drive like an idiot and there are no issues.

Winter grips WILL help alot, it takes quite abit of snow to slow me down and I've never been stuck with them on, I have posted what I have on my car for the winter. viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2824&p=30207&hilit=winter#p30 207

      Re: snow woes

I'm having a terrible time this winter as well. As soon as I step on the throttle, the AWESOME POWER of the Aveo just spins the tires..LMAO NOT!!!!

Slow and steady gets the car rolling and away she goes without any problem.

      Re: snow woes

i didnt really understand what people meant about the aveo's back end coming around in the snow....well i got my first experience yesterday. I think this is the first time I have driven with the stock wheels and tires in the snow because I have alway had my 17x7 with 205/40 tires on during the winter. I never had the back end come around, dont ask me why, just havent. then yesterday I was driving like I normal do in the snow and there was a slight bend. Next thing you know I have the aveo drifting sideways in the snow

i've been fortunate enough not to experience rear end drift. i'm sure it would be kind of unenjoyable.
