Ya...Had that problem looking at Yaris's. Little bugger's were $16 with all the bells and whistles.
Local Toyota dealer put 3 year warrintie on the used one and got the price up to $16.5.
Salesmen couldn't understand why I wouldn't buy one...How could you pass up a deal like this ?
      Can't find any thing on Dodge Colts...Help.. Stiff Bunny...Got a link ?

Re: Should I upgrade to an '09?

i am looking, there are more information about it when vw and chrysler "co-designed" the new caravan. It was then introduced as a VW Routan. It even has a Dodge drive train, and needs dodge specialty tools (scanner) to fix it. In return, VW was going to take the Polo or lupo platform and produce a new colt for dodge for 2011. It was going to be part of a joint partnership. But more recent search seems to reveal the VW instead bought ford in august? and then Porsche bought VW.

i can't find any new information on it. I also discovered that it seems the the new routan is going to be a short lived model? so maybe with the hardships chrysler is having they scraped the colt come back recently, since it would be ford building them?

can't find anything newer though, back when the new town and country was coming out, there were even cad design drawing of what the new colt would look like.

      No big deal PR.
My wife owned a Dodge Horzion 4 door once.
2.2 L motor went pretty good as car parts rusted/fell off of it.
First and last Dodge/Chysler I've owned.
But it was cheap at the time.
Do you see a pattern here...LOL...

      Found this...

2.2? Too bad it was the Horizon and not a Turbo version. Turbo Chrysler cars have alot of potential.

      Yup. 35%.

The company that has interest in Ferrari is now interested in Chrysler

i have heard that all these foreign companies are only interested in the free bail out money, and owning a domestic company eases the pains of importing (what pains?) and they would still let the company slide after owning it..

I thought GM and Chrysler were going to merge... ?

Too many car rumors, I can't figure it out.

Ford, Chrysler, and GM started this pathway on the idea of getting free money from the government on the taxpayers expense. Instead of cutting expences, they went to Congress. When "Bankruptcy" hit the Media, those comanies lost more possible sales.

With the 09's, I dont care for the front end styling. I would have liked to see the car evolve smaller looking, not larger. But I like the back end tweaks, and the interior is a little cooler.

I'll have to bring mine in and see what they say.

I'd hate to part with mine, I didnt want to get attached to it, but I did, now I like it.

But an 09' with a better sound system would be tits.

      hmm...
I picked up my 09' about a month ago, and I love mine. It's got the new 1.6L EcoTec motor. Mine with 7 year bumper-to bumper coverage through Lithia Chevrolet was 10,400. Not too shabby, but mines a value model. 5-speed, no A/C(in alaska don't need it), crank windows and locks w/ cloth interior. Still has OnStar though.
