it was a punk kid, ill leave it at that.

and the kid was pretty itchy on the gas so i didnt get a huge jump on him and he does have considerably more hp and tq so he shoulda easily caught up especially since i fudged the shift from 2nd-3rd.(i was having an off day.)

Look at the dyno run of a Civic Type R, approx 198HP....

      No torque=no acceleration.

sad thing is the k-series motors have a lot more torque then the earlier ones....but thats why all motor hondas are using k24 bottom ends out of tsxs and crvs to do their builds....but another thing with hondas is the chasis they use to race are very light (below 2500lbs) and with alot of torque youd just be sitting there spinning your wheels

I'm trying to show you that the peak HP ratio isn't good. That 198 HP is at 7800 rpm. If you would read the article I have linked to, you'd know. The problem is that it is only effecient at very high revs. If you street race and you're going to hammer it, you have no power until the rev's go up in the 6000 range and won't make you win drag race style.

Ok so first gear they dont spin as much. But after every gear, they are right in VTEC. I still dont see how a aveo can keep up with one but with a bad enough driver, any car can look ****ty.

After owning my TSX for 4 months I LOVE the engine and wouldn't dare use any other Honda motor... K24 FTW!!
