Mine was doing that if I turned off the car before it got up to temp. Otherwise I never hear the popping sound.

It might be the catylatic converter, most the new chevy's have a screen in the front and when it get's all crudded up it literally gets burned out the exhaust, its its way of cleaning itself. So, what you might be hearing is a low backfire from the increased back-pressure to youre motor. Are you running lean?

It mostly just does it when its warming up. After that it goes away.

Lol, when is it ever cold enough in Florida that you have to let it warm up? I was born in Bradenton, FL, but now live in Alaska for the past 11 years.

Where in Bradenton did you grow up? I live here right now while in medical school, near the Lakewood Ranch area (which was built in like the past 7 years or so, East of I-75).

I lived between Parish and St.Pete area. More into Parish, I miss it there sometimes. I'm thinking about buying a house there to escape a few months here in the winter.

It's a joke to play on people that don't know anything about cars. At the shops where I used to work they'd send a kid to buy some elbow grease or to find a sky hook... Which obviously don't exist. You got played.
I leased Pontiac Wave from September 2006 to August 2011.

actually, bmw and vw r32 (and others by now) have muffler bearings now.

they have exhaust cutouts from the factory that open by vacuum pressure at 3500 rpm.. the doors have bearings in them..

if it goes bad it will cook your turn signal fluid though.
