You never want to go to the dealer, you can get a used radio with CD and MP3 for $100 and under on eBay, most come with a warranty as well. I prefer aftermarket radios, a decent one for about $150 is much better quality than any stock radio, but if you want to stay stock, eBay is your place. There must be something causing the blower fan to have problems, I do not think many people have had any problems at all pertaining to that, but four times is extreme. If those are the only problems that you have had, that is not too bad. I am confused though, you bought it new in 2004 and the radio has not worked in 3-4 years?

there is a few posts about the radio/clock wiring and issues, but if your disappointed in the car because of those two parts, i can only imagine if those two part were engine and transmission, not radio and fan..

I have had some odd eletrical problems that seem to come and go. Yeah, the radio has been broken a while. I have not heard music in the car for a long, long time. I am no going to spend $550.00 on a new radio, even if i can get one for $150.00 not sure if i will buy it the car is getting a bit old, not sure if i want to add more money to a car i might not have too much longer, but it's good to know that i can get a cheaper radio. i just had 2 new sway bars replaced yesterday $211.00

Yeah you can get them cheaper than $70 on eBay, just depends on what you want (aftermarkets can be added for $30-40 plus the kit). But I would guess there is some odd random issue somewhere if things are going bad like that. Car is around seven years old now, any other issues with it (the first batch or year or two in of a new model usually has more problems than the same car that has been made already for several years). A lot of people avoid cars in their first model year so the maker can "sort" out the problems. But if that is all that has gone out in seven years, that is not too bad. How many miles are you at? I am guessing 120,000?

Yeah, I'm thinking someone needs to find a different dealership.

There is one sway bar on each side. I was told the other was getting old so I replaced that one as well. They charged about $50 for each sway bar plus labor.( i know iy's more than what i read. i did not go to a dealer to fix it, a mechanic i know well did it. I would love to buy a radio for 20 to $40 but i don't feel comfortable buying anything on the net.

The car about 110.000 miles on it and i like it but some of my problems happened early on. i have the hatchback with tumble seats which i think is the best part, the room.

when i say i am disappointed i just mean the radio going after only a few years is unusual
i have had lots of cars and never did that happen!
