      General Motors plans to introduce a smallSUV called the Chevrolet Trax in a key addition to its foreign product mix.

      GM spokesman Michael Albano said in an interview that the Trax reflects a response to "a lot of growth in this small SUV segment." He said it's "coming off a new architecture" that also generated the Chevrolet Sonic.
