Turn siganl sticking

Hi guys, has anyone else had this issue? When I make left hand turns the signal doesn't cancel out once the wheel is centered. It had happened in the past, but it got better, but now it is a manual cancel now. any suggestions?

not on the Aveo but on my HHR I took apart the cover around the steering wheel ans put PB blaster to work and so far its OK put plastic on the carpet so it wont get messed up.
