      broken IAT sensor

the wires on mi IAT sensor connector got brittle and broke yesterday. son of a gun! so today i went down to the dealer and tryed to get a new one. no problem right-WRONG! these guys wanted me to order a whole new engine wire harness. WTH!?! eventually we were able to figure out that it was just like some old injector connector thing or something. (sorry for the incorrect use of terms). anyways 16$ later it was good and i was out the door. but i cant figure out why the wires got so brittle. is it the heat? oh well. im gonna fix it tonight. now on the new connector piece there are just 2 white wires with no additional markings to indicate if one would be the ground or not or whatever. will it matter how i hook this up or can i just wire it on without any probs?

I had to replace my IAT pig tail and I don't know if I got lucky or spliced the wires right but I just connected them at random.

The engine harness was A LOT if i remember right. Cause I wanted the stock wireing for the fogs and they were like "you need to buy the whole engine harness for that." I think it was around a thousand or something rediculous
