      Aveo overheating.

I have a 2011 aveo (its actually a swift but thats a canadian unicorn) with a 1.6 lxv. The car has had an overheating problem for two years and i cannot figure it out.
Before the engine over heats it ALWAYS starts blowing cold air in the cabin.
The only engine ode its ever had is P00B7 , low coolant flow.
when overheating significantly the coolant cap spews
ive repaced every hose, the heater core, thermostat, resevoir cap, and the waterpump.
The car does not over heat for very long, it goes right back to operating temp very quickly. Any ideas or tips for diagnostics.

The cooling system maintains pressure, and a block tester showed no indication of headgasket issues.

With that list of replacements all that's left is the radiator!
When the car is warm (not hot) and the thermostat has opened, pass your hand over the radiator core to see if it is all warm, some of the core may be blocked.

It appears you've done all the obvious things. But you've provided some interesting clues. From the the sounds of it, it seems the engine cooling system can go very quickly from running cold to overheating, and then when overheating, very quickly back to normal operating temperature. I don't know for sure, but i wonder if there is a bad connection at the engine coolant sensor on the thermostat housing? Or a bad electrical connection on the thermostat? Also, a poor ground connection can cause a myriad of bizarre driveability problems. How you checked the engine wiring harness to body ground connection at the location right next to the engine compartment ECM? That ground cable bolt frequently gets corroded from underneath, and the poor ground connection can fool the ECM into acting bizarrely.

      That's my thoughts.
