2010 aveo5 lt hatchback won't unlock/open

I just bought the thing?!?!

i know it's used, could be previous owner new issue (43,000miles) but the hatchback won't open. It did for A week when I hit the unlock remote. It did with the key manually inserted then 2 days ago, WON'T OPEN!?!? It this normal? For its age! What can I do?

and already the check engine light came on the day after. Is that related?

I think I may be misunderstanding you. Its only the hatch that isn't unlocking? Does the key turn in it?

I sent you a private message. You should have the dealer that you purchased the vehicle from program the FOB that you ordered from them. They can also scan the vehicle to see why the light is on. Please send me a private message if you think you need my assistance.
