      2007 engine codes tb or tps?

      Hello!

      Im im new to the forum. Just purchased a 07 aveo it hardly runs.

      it has codes
      p2122
      p2106
      p2110
      p2135
      p2101



      I tried cleaning the throttle body it wasn't that gummed is it the pedal? (Tps)

      please help!

      also any other known problems? Or things I should do?

      looking forward to driving. My car has 180k

      Hello I really need help guys

      I cleaned the throttle body but now i have these faults. .

      P2106: Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited Power
      P2110: Throttle Actuator Control System - Forced Limited RPM
      P161B: Unknown code - More information may be available on the web

      if you do something wrong when cleaning it, it will set those codes as well.

      it sounds like you must have had power or the key on during the cleaning, the p161B is power loss sensed by the ecm, like disconnecting the battery while running. The other two are fault protections, not codes themselves.

      all those original codes point to either the throttle body or the pedal. It is more likely that it is the throttle body, how did you clean it?

      the barely running issue isn't necessarily just this as an issue. But if you are stuck in safe mode, you will never figure out if the car runs right or not.

      the last code, i think is the variable intake, if that hose is leaking, it would let in more air, and throw off some of the intake position depending on how it is being monitored.

      Possibly a bad throttle body position sensor?

      Hello I took it off and used carb cleaner how do I get it out of safe mode?

      I just put a new tps ( gas pedal) didnt fix any issues cleared the code and p2135 came up again. Thankyou for the help sofar but I Need more advice

      try this:

      Procedure 1 Throttle/Idle Learn
      The Idle Learn Procedure listed below must be performed whenever the following occurs:


      •••••
      1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.
      9.10.
      11.

      The throttle body assembly is replaced
      The throttle body is cleaned
      The engine control module (ECM) is replaced
      The idle air control valve (IAC) is replaced
      Power disconnection (battery cable, ECM fuse, etc.) (Delphi ECM only)

      Turn the ignition ON.
      Turn the ignition OFF for 15 seconds.
      Turn the ignition ON for 5 seconds.
      Turn the ignition OFF for 15 seconds.
      Start the engine in park/neutral.
      Allow the engine to run until the engine coolant temperature is greater than 85°C (185°F).Turn the A/C ON for 10 seconds, if equipped.
      If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, apply the parking brake. Whilepressing the brake pedal, place the transaxle in drive (D) for 10 seconds.
      Turn the A/C OFF for 10 seconds, if equipped.
      If the vehicle is equipped with an automatic transaxle, while pressing the brake pedal,place the transaxle in park/neutral.
      Turn the ignition OFF. The idle learn procedure is complete.
