      engine off coasting

what is better for restarting cars if you shut them off to save fuel, turning the ignition, or putting it back into gear and making it turn over? no replies about safety please, i know that it is extreme.

i would always say back into gear.

personally i would go to trifecta and get a custom fuel cut out on deceleration tune, or wire up a cut out to do it automatically to save yourself from doing it manually.

so the cutout would just be put into the ignition wire correct? turning it off would shut it off, then simply turning the switch back on would start the engine back up? i do have some toggle switches that are on the way that i'm using for lighting, shouldn't be too hard to wire something up.
