Can't get better than 33-35 mpg.

I can't do any better than 35 mpg. Even all highway driving, 35 is the max. I have all the back seats out and the passenger seat. Still can't do any better than 35 mpg. Anyone else getting better? And how?

For your all highway driving, what's the typical or average speed?

I got 37mpg, mixed city n e way, with a short ram intake, full interior, but drove 55-60mph. Currently getting 32-33mpg with CAI, trifecta tune, headers, and 2" exhaust with 0 cats. My right foot is the biggest factor for my loss of mpg. With winter gas that is the equivalent of piss I got 27-29

Must be nice to be able to use trifecta for tuning. I might get a K&N air filter but I don't really expect to see real gains from it.

IMO, your MPH for highway driving at those speeds is typical for these Aveos. I get about the same as what you posted, and believe others have reported similar numbers as well. You could find out what the approximate "best" MPG is by driving 50-55 for a full tank, but driving a lot slower than normal is not something that most folks can put up with.

Your higher speed is what is killing your mileage. I was getting high 30s, low 40s on my commute, but it was mostly 55 mph and some city on each end.

Sure it is, you'll just get dirty looks and flipped off every now and then.
