YES. HHR 2.4 is much faster but I will not give up my AVEO
I have a love/hate relationship with the HHR. Rented one once and was severely disappointed. the engine took forever to get to any speed (2.2L Ecotec) and at highway speed, the whole thing shook like it was about to fall apart. It was comfy inside with plenty of room though....

- looking for a first gen Aveo for a daily driver :D
my HHR 2.4 H.O. will burn rubber with just a touch and had it at 100 mpg and no shaking. Some cars are junk from factory.
Usually those are the ones that end up at rentals too. But congrats man i like the HHR
