      New 2007 Aveo owner

      Hi from Colorado Springs, Colorado!

I just bought a used 2007 Chevy/Daewoo Aveo today. It's got 125,000 miles on it. I'll be looking to get things fixed up on it such as the gas door latch is broken, and the passenger side door look has fallen inside the door. I already took it to the car wash, and need to vacuum it out and clean it up some. Another thing that's broken is the antenna on top. Looks like the treads were snapped off in the housing.

Looking forward to many fun years in my new to me Aveo hatchback.Name: IMG_20160113_121107.jpg

      Welcome to the group!!

Yeah, those are a couple of not uncommon little issues with the car. Did you happen to review our used Aveo checklist before you picked it up??

What were you driving before the Aveo?

Looking good, i love the Aveo in black. Will you be adding aftermarket wheels later on?

      Thanks!

I didn't look at "What to watch out for when buying an Aveo" thread. But am willing to put a little bit of money into it i.e...timing belt...to ensure the car will last a long time.

Thanks cool-aveo! I'm not to particular on color, other than I'm not to fond of red or white cars. I would have really liked a silver Aveo, but this was to good of a deal to pass up! YES...New wheels to come soon, at least waiting for winter to finish before putting money into wheels. First I'll put money into engine maintenance.

But attached are the wheels I want to get from Discount Tire. I think I'll keep the stock size wheel tire combo.

Funny: I have a black car and would have preferred white.

      There's no accounting for taste.

Dark colours get dirty so much faster than light ones. Also, white's the easiest to match and hide your work if you ever do DIY body work or rust repair.

I also wanted a silver aveo cause it's easier to keep clean but got a blue aveo. My previous car was grey and i rarely washed it and it never looked dirty.

Those wheels will look great on your aveo. Will you be getting the wheels silver or are you going black for the murdered look?

I'll do the sliver wheel...My girlfriend said my car looks "ghetto" with the black steel wheels now.

Silver will look great! Post pics once you have your new wheels on your car.

Thank! I think so too with the silver wheels...But I wanna get the timing belt done before all the "fun stuff". Being an adult I guess?
