      TURBO!!! **Updated 3/26/08**

Further Update: We received the engine today, and will be loading it onto the stand for fitment once the rest of the pieces arrive. The turbo and exhaust manifold will go to Machining in the morning to have an adapter plate finalized with correct fitment, and then it will be as simple as putting it together and bending the pipes. If anyone would be interested in a pre-order, we can begin taking them now.

At this point, we are only taking pre-orders and interest levels for the Basic Beginner Kit (IHI Turbo and Stock Header) at $450. We are still in development on the others, mainly with the manifold design, which we will be finalizing soon. For the adapter plates, we have the price for one, which is a good deal, but the more we order the cheaper it will be. Once the kits are finalized and in production, the prices of the kits will go up about 15% in price, so get your price locked in today. We are offering these at just above cost, so help us pay for production by pre-ordering your kit today. They will be complete and dyno tested as soon as we source a project car, but we will have pics on the stand available sometime next week.

Update for the Turbo ordeal. Dan brought me two different turbos last night, which I think might be good deals for the Aveo Turbo kit we are developing. The first he brought was the IHI Turbo for the 1989 Ford Probe. The Probe was a 2.2L putting out 155hp with the turbo, so I think it should do well on the Aveo. The other is a T3 from a 1982 Datsun 280zxt, which put out around 180hp, so it will be great for the upper level kits. I have made some changes to the kits, adding a few more things that I think will help the kits immensely. Prices have not been changed, so you are getting more for the same price.

So I think this is the set-ups we have been thinking about going with... let us know your thoughts...

      Wow

I mean seriously wow, if you had the parts for a Stage 1 (and it was specifically for the Aveo... As in all pipes are bent correctly, intakes, wiring ect.) I'd buy it right now... I'm serious.

The Stage 2 and 3, a little on the expensive side (the Stage 2 is still affordable, but it's damn close borderline $ limit atm)... Perhaps if I wanted to upgrade later on after getting the Stage 1 sure...

What if you had a Stage 1.5, and a 2.5? For the people who can afford the Stage 1, but not the Stage 2, but still have enough $ for a little more?

But seriously let me know, if you can get me an Aveo turbo kit for $750, I'm in.

yea those prices are upper limit numbers... using top brand parts. I can swap out the Aeromotive FPR with an AEM and knock off $100, swap out the HKS SSQBOV with a DSM Crush Style or GReddy and the kit would still work fine. I just like name brand and therefore budget for that...

another thing I may consider doing is offering the kit without the turbo itself, so that if you are to the point where you can't afford a new turbo ($300 of that cost), you can buy the rest of the kit then go grab a turbo off an older 300zx or something else that carries a T3 and be fine...

and in regards to Stage 3 being so expensive, it uses a fully functional Engine Management System, full replacement Fuel System, and a $600 turbo... I dunno if anyone would be interested in it, as it's a full set-up capable of 400hp... would require an engine rebuild...

Well I'm sadly a total newb at Turbos so you're gonna have to explain what parts you're talking about and what they do, ect... I know what a turbo does so you dont have to explain that, just the other stuff like the "top brand" stuff you mentioned...

The "Best" is what I want, but I also want as much as I can get, but at a certain price... It's my customizing trifecta, a triangle I use with price, best, and ammount, I base what and how I'm going to customize something based on the balance between the 3. To keep things straight and list my priorities...

Considering it would involve moving parts, and high temps, and considering it's actually in the engine, that moves my "trifecta" point to about 65% best, 20% amount, and 15% price, as in my priorities...

Like I said though, if the price would be about $750, let me know I'd definately be interested, also, I would like to know what you could do to get the Stage 1 to a Stage 1.5ish plz

k will look into it and let you know... the main difference between Stage 1 and 2 is the addition of an intercooler and fuel.

warning: If you dont want your car to **** up, purchase stage 3 and go to a reputable speed shop with a dyno to tune your car. Stages 1 and 2 WILL **** it up.

I'm surious... how can you put a stage one kit together with turbo and header (not to mention the other parts) for less than $1000? you can't even get a GOOD turbo that will be of any quiality for less than $500+ and I'm working on a tubular turbo header and there is no way I can sell them for less than $450-$500.

one more question why is your stage 1 and stage 2 listed with a T3 and your stage 3 listed with a smaller T28? beside the fact that you would have to produce two different header, there is no reason for the two options.
