Love your headlights. I am getting ready to mount the same headlights on my car. This will give me a good idea of the color with the dark background. Did you do the HID Mod? We have the same color, Arctic Blue, however your body is much better shape than mine.

No, I'm running normal halogen bulbs. I've had bad experiences with HIDs burning up these cheap projectors.

I take it you have had a bad experience and burnt up a spec d head light? Can you detailed what went wrong before I commit to wiring up my lights. Did it melt the housing or the lens? Photographic evidence can go a long way. So do you have any pictures?

I have no idea what a spec D headlight is. I burnt up a projector on my old cobalt and on an f150 buying projector headlights and hids off ebay. I don't know the brands or anything. So I can't really help you out.

The headlights you are running right now are the Spec D Tuning Brand Headlights:
FOR 04-08 CHEVY AVEO 5DRS HALO PROJECTOR HEADLIGHT - BLACK

BTW, nice lights on your Aveo. I got a set with a HID Kit. I wanted to start working on those last night but I could not find my spare battery. So I will start off with the halogen bulbs and maybe test the HID before I stick them in there. I did a bunch of research and yes, you can melt things. It looks like that your experience. So thanks for letting me know your "learned" experiences. I will be very cautious going forward.
