Sorry to hear that you totaled your Aveo... and that you're getting a Jeep. (Sorry, no love for Chrysler products here )

My son and I were both unharmed. The aveo actually does a great job in reducing impact on the passengers/driver. The damage was deeper than it looked in the photo. Radiator support upper and lower were both twisted beyond use. Frame was crunched a bit. I could not open the passenger front door. Insurance estimated over $5000 in damages, car was valued at $4700.

My dad and I had to pry the radiator support to stop the cooling fan from beating on the o2 sensor to get it home.

This has been a great community, and I would never have come as far as I had with the car without the support you have all given me.

P.S. someone buy my rear strut tower bar off of me please, it's only $50 plus shipping for any member of this forum! In the end it was the only part I could salvage from the car before they towed it. (couldn't afford to let it sit for long)
