I'm having major issues with the cooling system on our 2004 aveo and before I rip into it again I want to eliminate the possibility of air in the system. I want to make sure I'm "burping" the system correctly. Does anyone have a service manual they could email me? Or at least the section on the cooling system. All I've been doing is running it till hot with the heat on with the expansion tank cap off. I'm told there may be more to it than this...

lol no really I would love to buy a manual, where did you order yours? Someone (maybe you) posted a link to order one for me a while ago but I couldn't get it to work, I think it was a bad link. I appreciate the help.

I can't see steps 1-3, if I can see those it may help...
1 on ebay right now 14.95 chevrolet aveo manual repair | eBay not sure anymore of the site i got mine from.but will see about sending you some portions of mine.have to figure out compression and sending email size.
steps 1 -3 was just draining fluid. this is instructions to drain and fill (change antfreeze) so if you stuck on how to drain you need alot more than my manual!

lol sorry I just wasn't sure if maybe it was saying to let the coolant leak out some place at the expansion tank or something. I understand now that's just draining at the radiator and filling at the expansion tank. So I guess I was doing it correctly. Looks like I'll be putting in a new water pump.
