Airbag light turns on/off randomly

Ok so ever since I had my check engine light and hold lights turn on(they have no gone away with no more pop ups)I had the car checked and it was the usual aps and tbs warning but now at random I keep getting the airbag light turn on and then a few seconds later it turns off. There was a few times where it would stay on for about two minutes or so but it was rare, Iam freaked out that my freaking airbag is just going to deploy all of a sudden. I searched on the forum but havent found anything like this...Iam starting to think maybe something screwed up and my car is about to take a dump. Has anyone had this problem before???

the light thats red? with a lil man and a bag? mine stays on 2 not sure why. take it in if its under warrenty.

Yes its the little red lit handicap man blowing up a ballon....and its not under warranty so I have to see what this is all about.

Yeah, mine stays on too after my check engine light came on whenever my seperntine broke.

is this the passenger light or the airbag airbag light?

it could be a few things, they are supposed to be "smart" airbags.. with a sensor in the seat, and such. If it is the airbag light on in the cluster you should be able to scan it too. That would be the most efficient way, but a few people have come across loose plugs under the seat. So you could check that really fast. But also if you are not heavy enough to press the sensor in the drivers seat, it would be confused.

Oh no at 320lbs it reads me just fine and its not the pass. airbag light either, its the red light that as mentioned above is that figure witha bag in front of him. Only problem with getting it scanned is that it happens so infrequently that it would really suprise me if it happened when I was getting it scanned unless its stored in the "memory" as a code that has happened, if that is possible.

at 320 lbs, you might have the other end of the issue, of too much weight on it.

My airbag light just came on and is thus far staying on. Anyone got any updates? I am hoping for something I can fix cheap and myself.

it could be a few things, not everyone has had the same problem, but check th plug connections under the seat.
